Truck randomly starts...

Hey I drive a 1990 F150 w/ 351 Winsor. About two weeks ago me and my buddies were 4x4 and my truck just died. Tried to start it for the next two days and it just wont turnover, it sounds like it was going to but just never got going. Then on the third day it fired right up like nothing, took it for a 1/2 mi. ride then parked it. Next day fired up no problem, drove it about 7mi. then it just died again. Next couple of days it wouldnt start. Just tried it yesterday and it started, let it run for 1.5 hrs. then shut it off. 20 minutes later it wouldnt start again. People told me it might have sucked up some water while i was 4x4, but wouldnt that have dried up by now? What is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Re: Truck randomly starts...

Sometimes, a cracked distributor cap will do this. One can't always see the minute cracks. Try replacing it.
