New to Forum. Hello all you fine Ford folks! MY 2001 Supercrew has red lights on the outside edge of the left & right door mirriors. They are not visible to the driver, only to vehicles beside or behind you. The one on the drivers door mirror is out. I can't seem to find any way to access this to see if it's just a bulb or what? Being an 01 I'm thinking it was pretty much before LED's. Anybody know how to get at these? I'm just hoping I don't have to remove the mirror to get at this bulb or whatever. Thanks

There is a bulb in each side. To remove the front cover, turn the mirror glass down so you can release the clips. Then take the cover off and the bulb is accessible.

Thanks for the response. I figured that each side had it's own bulb. Now, just so I know we're on the same page here. I note that you list an 05 F150 as one of your vehicles, is the bulb replacement you talk about for the 05? I'm just wondering since they are a different body style if they use the same type miorrors. Thanks for the info, but I just want to be sure that th 01 has the "clips" you talk about before I go breaking something "expensive?. Know what I mean?

I understand what you mean. I looked up the replacement for a 2001 and not mine. It's a good idea to check as you said so nothing gets broken.
