I have a 2003 Ford F250 diesel and was wondering if there was anyway to permanently turn off the rear sensor beeping. I pull a trailor 99% of the time and it beeping every time that I backup is driving me nuts!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is from the owners manual on page 128.

"The RSS automatically turns on when the gear selector is placed in R (Reverse) and the ignition is ON. An RSS control allows the driver to turn the RSS on and off. To turn the RSS off, the ignition must be ON, and the gear selector in R (Reverse). An indicator light on the control will illuminate when the system is turned off. If the indicator light illuminates when the RSS is not turned off, it may indicate a failure in the RSS. The RSS will remain off until either the RSS control is pushed again or the ignition switch is recycled."

I have a 2004 F250 and for some reason the other day it stopped working. Does this run off a fuse? Any ideas why it would stop working? I pushed the button to turn it on but as soon as I put it in reverse it turns back off.
