Unable to Turn Overdrive Off - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hello. We have a 2001 Ford F250 4WD Super Duty. For some reason the overdrive won't turn off. We've replaced the overdrive button and the fuse. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be? We can't locate the owner's manual and thought we'd try this forum before we bought one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does the bulb work? It should light up momentarily when first turning on the key.

Thanks for the reply. A friend of mine was able to help me fix it. The bulb didn't light up when I started the truck. The problem wound up being a short in one of wires in the steering column. Thanks again for the reply.
