I have a 2002 f-250 sd . When the truck is running there is a strange sound , it almost sounds like a fog horn. has anyone else heard this noise. When i bring it to my mechanic it doesnt happen so he hasnt heard the noise. he said it my be a transmission pump or something

I have the same fog horn sound from 1100 rpm's to about 1300 rpm's. Took it to the Transmission shop and said the pan was clean and didn't merit pulling the tranny.

Is there a way to check the torque converter on a 2004 F-250 with the 4 speed?
