Quackstacker I Want A F450HD KINGRANCH Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: NOR CAL Posts: 5	What axle-ringgear size do I have I would like to know what axle-ringgear size I have in my 88 F250HDw/460EFI/C6tranny, and how would I find it in my vin number? Thanks a lot Quackstacker

jethat Registered User Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 14	Get the number off the data plate. located on the drivers side door. Mine is 19 that means I have an open 3.55 geared rearend with 3.55 gears in front as well. You only need the axle code. If it has a letter in it like H9 that means its a limited slip if its just a number it is probably a conventional open axle.
