Despite their claims to the contrary, I've yet to see a chip that noticably improves mileage. I have one acquaintance who says his mileage is up 1 to 1-1/2 mpg since he put one in (2005 6.0), but I think it's just his newly acquired gentle driving habits that has done it.
Their claim to fame is increased power which, unfortunately, results in greater fuel consumption.
