will 2002 2 valve 5.4 interchange with 2008 2 valve 5.4

i have a 2002 5.4 letter L (vin on 8th digit) with egr.......will a 2008 5.4 2 valve fit in my 2002?.........i have no vin for this motor...any help is appreciated!

Your 02 PCM system can't handle the 08 cam timing control or electric throttle control amongst other things.
The software and PCM communications are totally different.

Bluegrass is right. And considering the track record of the 3V motors, why would you want to bother???
