Well, We replaced the entire exhaust system yesterday (NOT including the manifold pipes to the collector). 2 trips to Checker Auto for clamps, hangars, pipe adaptors etc. and that was that!
I had been getting a Check engine light since I bought the truck 3 months ago and while underneath the beast I think I found the culprit! I happened to look at the front end of the driveshaft and noticed a wiring harness hanging dangerously close to the shaft. Upon further inspection I found the harness was RUBBING on the driveshaft and had severed 2 of the 4 wires in the harness! YEP, it was the O2 sensor harness (pulled codes, said o2 sensor lean). So off to the boneyard today to find another one!
