4R100 to E4OD?

I have a 2001 that either needs a new transmission or to become intimately acquainted with the bottom of the ocean!

I'm not ready, willing, or able to pay over $3k to have it fixed/replaced.

But there is a E4OD out of a 97 F250 for sale on craigslist for $500. But will the E4OD bolt straight up or not? I know they used it in the older Lightnings.
