He started his race debut in great style , seeing that he had to get in by speed, well he sure did, he was top of the charts in first prac, then 7th in qual, got in the show, 7th in 2nd prac, & fastest in happy hour.
That to me shows that the Cot hasn't got the evils that the old car had.
Upstart Marco Ambrose qualified seventh in the Wood Brothers Ford. The flashy Australian will be making his Sprint Cup debut. "I am so excited about this weekend," he said. "Something special is happening for us in my first Sprint Cup start."

AMBROSE, LITTLE DEBBIE MAKE THEIR MARK AT INFINEON RACEWAY Updated: 06/23/08

SONOMA, Calif. – The skid mark 100 yards short of the finish line was still on the wall at the Infineon Raceway long after Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350. So was the impression for Marcos Ambrose and Little Debbie. Ambrose made left an indelible impression during his Sprint Cup Series debut, qualifying the famed No. 21 Little Debbie Honey Buns Ford in seventh and running in the top five most of the afternoon. A spin on the 84th lap, however, sent Ambrose to the garage area for the end of the race. “It’s just very unfortunate,” Ambrose said. “We were racing really good there. The Wood Brothers and the whole crew gave me a great car. We were fighting with Elliott (Sadler) pretty hard; he got into the back of us, spun us out, but that wasn’t the problem. I was actually just selecting first gear on the downshift when he hit me. That broke the transmission. “But, we leave here with our heads held high. We raced hard and we raced well at the front there, and it was just a lot of fun. I’m just so lucky to have this opportunity with Little Debbie and the Wood Brothers crew. I just want to thank them so much for giving me the chance.” Ambrose not only gave Wood Brothers Racing its best starting spot of the season, Ambrose was the fastest driver during Saturday’s final practice session. When the race started, he was just as fast. Ambrose had the Little Debbie colors as close as second place during a restart with 34 laps to go. As the cars approached the flag stand to take the green, Ambrose was bumped into the wall by Jamie McMurray’s car. The contact left a large black mark on the outside wall. Although McMurray made the pass to second place before crossing the starting line, NASCAR allowed the pass. Ambrose fell back to sixth place when he was struck from behind by Sadler, dropping Ambrose to a 42nd-place finish. “We raced up front and had a lot of fun,” Ambrose said. “We gave Little Debbie a lot of attention, and that’s good because they’ve been so committed to our program. I’m not saying every week is going to be like this, but this is one race I’m definitely going to remember for a long time.” Ambrose will fly the Little Debbie colors again next week at the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 at the New
So there was a skid mark that virtually is a giveaway that Jmac passed before the line , that is a no no?
