After a series of mishaps, the first race of the V8 Supercar series at Symmonds Plains was something of a damage limitation exercise for Dick Johnson Racing, after Steve Johnson fought back from 19th place on the grid to finish in the top ten, while Glenn Seton had to fight back to 22nd after dropping to the back of the field at the start of the race.{br}{br}
