I have a 1985 Lincoln Mark 7 with a 302, it is flooding out when gas is given at idle. The car will run for 8 minutes at idle, and then die for the day. I have replaced the throttle position sensor, the fuel regulator(which is not ajustable, but the original was), have had the 2 injectors checked and cleaned, and I can't figure out what else could be wrong. If you have any ideas that might help, please let me know.

Are you sure its flooding?
You may actually have a weak or dead fuel pump...

Have you checked the codes ?

check you oxygen sensors you engine could be puting the wrong fuel to air mixture in there. also it could be the fuel return unit, i dont know how it could happen but myabe its cloged and fuel is unable to pass through smoothly.
