Lincoln's Navigator K concept created to be somewhat 'sinister'

The Lincoln Navigator K concept was designed to look sophisticated with "just a hint of a sinister side," says Chris Theodore, vice president of advanced product creation.
The concept, which has a black exterior and red leather interior, is powered by a 385-hp, supercharged 5.4-liter, V-8 engine. It is the same engine in Ford's SVT F-150 Lightning pickup, but the Lincoln version gains 5 hp.
This is the first Lincoln concept designed by the Ford Performance Group.
The Navigator K features larger wheels and tires than the production Navigator. The concept has custom, 20-inch chrome wheels and tires. It also has monochromatic black paint on the bottom of the front fascia. Production Navigators are gray.
Interior changes include bright satin nickel-finished interior accents, which replace the wooden accents on the production Navigator.
Black, high-pile luxury carpet and a black instrument panel are contrasted by rich, garnet leather-covered seats and a garnet leather-wrapped center console cover. These enhancements to the interior add to the Navigator's already high level of comfort and luxury.
Lincoln says it will show the Navigator K concept at auto shows and other events to gauge market preferences for performance parts and products from Lincoln.
The automaker has no plans to product the Navigator K.
