Can anyone tell me where to find the stamped VIN number on a 1979 RS2000, I have had a query from someone and I can't seem to find any info on where it could be on the www.

Its in a bit of a bugger of a spot!! Its stamped around the R/H strut tower, top, at the front edge of where the bolts go through. Its most likely you'll have to scrape paint off to confirm/deny. Sometimes is visible.

Thanks Fordtech, I have passed that on, Fish he scrapped all the paint off that area and says he still can't find the VIN number, I had already sent him the .pdf file that is on the link Fordtech has just given me and he says that all the correct RS2000 bits are there. Its a mystery.
