Guys i need help. I did the front brakes tonight since it needed new rotors and pads. I took everything off and replaced everything and noticed one bolt was missing from the caliper. I went to autozone but they dont have it. I guess i will try ford tomorrow but i dont want to buy a new caliper as all i need is this one bolt as shown below. Does anyone know if i can just get a bolt like this one? It connects with a 17mm wrench.

Yeah i am going to try home depot and see if they have this bolt. I took this one off and have it on hand so i will see which is similar.

Home Depot is not going to have this bolt and not just any bolt will work. You need to find the correct bolt with the proper grade strength and it has to have that shoulder on it. Like Bert said the junkyard or Ford.

I went to ford this morning and they said it is obsolete so they don't sell it anymore. I found Ar advanced auto parts this as it is similarhttp:// http://m.advanceautoparts.com/mt/shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_x_15310031-P_x_x?cm_mmc=ACQ-_-Google-_-enhancedRM-_-15310031&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=15310031&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw={keyword} . It is same thickness but a tiny bit longer. I am gonna check some junk yards around my area as well.

Those should be fine .You could use a washer/s to pack out for the length , but really not needed .

Ok those screws were no good from advance auto parts. The threads were too big. I went to a hardware store with the screw and the measurement is M12 1.25 Pitch. They made me a bolt similar to the one i needed with the 1.25 pitch. It was a little longer so i added a washer and it fit in great. The new brakes are working well and everything seems to be holding. I guess time will tell how this bolt holds up but it was just as thick so it should be good. Thanks everyone for the help and hopefully if this happens to someone else there is the measurement of the bolt you need.

You need to get the proper bolts. They have a shoulder that holds the caliper centered properly.

I am still looking. I have had no luck online or at 3 junk yards in my area.
