When I turn on my heater or air conditioner there is an odor which smells like it would be electrical. I replaced the end on the blower motor cable last year because the old plastic clip was melting and had lost contact, so the blower wouldn't work. Could this wire be causing the smell? I looked at it and do not see anything wrong with it. I had my air conditioner recharged last summer and its blowing warm air again. The heater is working okay. Any ideas?
Thanks again for the info! I hope thats not what is wrong because that job is one I know I can't do. Think I will have my favorite technicians check it out.
The repair shop recharged my system and it only worked 2 days, so I took it back today and now they said it is the matrix leaking. They quoted me a price of around $800 to repair it with parts and labor. How does that sound to you? Maybe I can find someone who will do it cheaper? This heat is terrible with no a/c!
