If i still had my 2L cortina, I would be bidding on it, so simple to just swap the head and off you go.

Re: 2LITRE FORD ESCORT PERFORMANCE PACKAGE: [on Ebay]

Is this a BIG performance boost?
because im thinking about taking my escort to a performance mechanic and letting him find the parts...
money isnt an object, so if these parts are just a minor upgrade, i prob wont be interested

Re: 2LITRE FORD ESCORT PERFORMANCE PACKAGE: [on Ebay]

Is it possible to fit this turbo into the 2L pinto escort?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....category=43808
what are the pros/cons of doing this?
would it cost me much to have installed?
what other mods would have to be made?

Thanks!

Re: 2LITRE FORD ESCORT PERFORMANCE PACKAGE: [on Ebay]

If money is no object, I'd go for a twincam cossie turbo motor with a T5 transmission. Would go like a cut cat!!!

How fast do you want to go? A mate was running a naturally aspirated twin webber setup that was good for high 14's.

With that turbo, you would also need an exhaust manifold, lower compression motor... etc. As for cost, I couldn't tell you. You'd have to talk to a specialist like Mike Vine in QLD -i'm pretty sure that's the guy, my mind is a little fuzzy :)

Re: 2LITRE FORD ESCORT PERFORMANCE PACKAGE: [on Ebay]

Cheers mate - i wonder if anyone knows of an escort specialist in Sydney?
or any real good performance workshops...?

The cosworth engine might be out of budget,,, i have 12k - 15k to spend..

Dont waste your time with cosworth head. Go eslinger. They are the best, and if money is no object, this is the head for you.
Yes they are a single cam head, but the meguires drag car runs a ford 2L with an elinger head, and they have unlimited budget, this should tell you something.
