roll 86 Ford TX3 Problem

I'm a chick so some of my explaining may be a little dodgey. I have a 1986 TX3 Laser, which is basically hammered. I was wondering if someone can help me figure out what it's problem is. We recently bought a new fuel pump for it, coz it broke down, it still won't start, apparently no power is getting to the fuel pump. Anyone know what to check or what the problem is? I need help so i can sell it. Thanks.

Re: 86 Ford TX3 Problem

you may want to start witht he fuse for the fuel pump...if that is good you will want to see if you're getting power to the fuse...if it is blown you may either have blown it when the first pump died or have an electrical short that needs to be traced down...if blown replace witht he same amperage fuse and see if it blow right away or if the fuel pump works

Re: 86 Ford TX3 Problem

Thanks, my brother checked the fuse and said it was working, but he doesn't know what to check now coz he only knows stuff about commodores. I got told my car may need a new computer. Before it would start, but chuged alot, and used quite abit of petrol, i don't know if it's normal but it reved on 3 doing 100 kms. Might just send it somewhere to get fixed, so i can get rid of it.
