89 Escort Starts Hard On Cool Mornings.. HLP
I have a 89 Ford Escort that I use as my work vehicle. It's not the prettiest, but it gets 30+ MPG.... Anyway, I live in Wisconsin, and my car starts hard on cool mornings. It will turn over and turn over and turn over. I let off. I try again. It will turn over and turn over and turn over. I let off. I will do this about 4 or 5 times and then it will start. When it's started, it runs great! After it's started, I could shut it off and start it back up again normally. It's just getting it started initially. If the weather is warm during the day, I can go out and start the car no problem. I recently took the car to a mechanic and he replaced the distributor cap, rotor, one coil wire, and a ignition module. It still has the problem. Can somebody offer me some guidance here or if anybody has ever heard of this problem and may know a fix. This is driving me bonkers and I would like to fix this problem before winter.
This car has yet to let me down on the COLDEST of mornings.
PLEASE HELP!
