hey...

i hear a whirring or scraping sound, only when in gear at low speeds. it goes up and down with engine rpm, but is silent in neutral. goes away at speed, and comes back as i approach a stop. could this be a clutch slipping in the auto trans? anything fixable w/o trans coming out?

also, i need to replace the heater core, any tips to make it a bit easier than the book says? complete dash removal, etc?

also, i hear a quiet crunching sound as i move the steering wheel lock to lock. not cv joints. guessing its inside the steering box. should i be concerned?

no easy way to change the heater core, takes about 4-6 hrs and you need to mark wires and parts.
