I am still working on this 91 Escort LX. I have replaced the ignition switch and complete in tank fuel pump assembly. Here is what is happening.

1. Fuel gauge still not showing any fuel there is at least 4 gallons of fuel. When key is off it shows an 1/8 of a tank of fuel and then when I turn key on it goes to empty.

2. Reason I replaced ignition switch was because you could start car without key and was recommend because the chimes would still chime without the key in the ignition until you closed the door. Then my battery would drain over night.

Any suggestions??
