95' Escort A/C / fan problem

Hello all, hope someone could help me

I got a 95' escort and it's freaking me out where my problem is.
My A/C / heating fan does not work. I checked the fuses, but the problem is not ther
Two mechanics told me my fusebox is busted, but I find it hard to believe since I opened it up and sew nothing (nothing fried)
Anyone can give me another possible solution? I don't wanna pay 500$ for a fusebox and find out it's not the problem

Please help

regards, Alon

Re: 95' Escort A/C / fan problem

My fan blower just stopped workin gin my 99 escort this morning. I foudn the problem to be the wire had come loose. I checked below the glove box and found the loose wire set and plugged them back in and it works fine now. Can't hurt to check. Good luck.

Re: 95' Escort A/C / fan problem

Tried to look for a loose wire... no luck... actually... there are no wires behind the glovebox

I'm pretty sure it's not just the fan , when I try to start the A/C / heater , I don't hear the A/C working ( I mean under the hood ) , also the RPMs stay still

Any other ideas?

My wires were actually below the glovebox- not behind. I just looked up from the foot space to the bottom of the glovebox. I'm not sure if nothing is working. Good luck!

Hi there,

I have the same problem of no heater blower \ AC working on my 1997 Escort LX. Nothing wrong with the fuse maybe one of the relays has gone ??

Did you manage to find the fault???

Re: 95' Escort A/C / fan problem

Open the fusebox again.
Above the fuse for the fan there's a wire soldered into the circuitboard.
That's the problem, it's gone loose. I've had the same problem yesterday.
Just solder it again!
Succes, Gijs from Holland
