95' Escort - car stalls when braking when engine is cold

I got a problem i got rid of when summer came ( cause it's not cold ) and now is back ( with the cold whether )

i got a 95' escort , when engine is cold , in the 1st 5-10min of driving car is stalling when i brake - the colder it is , the worst it is , sometime it's stalling all the way , only lowering RPMs so bad

in regular car i believe it could be solve wy the choke, is there a choke in inhection engines ? is it controlled by the ECU ? how to re-configure it ?

please help

Re: 95' Escort - car stalls when braking when engine is cold

you may have as problem with the idle air temp sensor...it may be reading that the incoming air is a different temp than it is and not sending the right signal tot he ecu to give it the proper fuel and air mix to the engine to keep the rpms right....that is the only thing that pops into mind that the outside temp would have anything to do with off hand
