97 escort trans problems
Hello all,
I just purchased a 97 4- door escort which had a bad trans and swapped a trans from another 97. Well long story short, I just finished getting everything bolted in and I have a couple of issues.
1) large vacuum line with no where to go. This line hooks up to the charcoal canister, has a solenoid on it then splits off, one side goes back behind the engine and hooks up by the firewall, I can't see where to hook up the other side.
2) Trans doesn't want to engage in reverse. It feels like the car only wants to go forward, even when in park the car surges a little bit, but doesn't actually go anywhere. Everyother gear the car is in it wants to go forward, even neutral. You can push the car around when it's off and in neutral, but when engine is running, it wants to go forward.
