98 Escort ZX2 AC ISSUES, I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Ford Forums

well I am having some serious issues with my 98 Escort ZX2. It blows air but hot. I can use the fan which blows cool on days with degrees of 70 to 75 but anything hotter than that it's hot as ever to. I had an AC diagnostic done on the vehicle and they really couldnt find anything wrong. the compressor is fine but it blows air, i just dont get any cool air, they also did a dye test, it is full of freon. you guys have any idea what could be the issue? Hmm can anyone tell me how and where to check to see if my wires maybe unplugged or just busted? also I was told it could be my constant control relay module...................... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, here is a possible way to check if the Relay Module is the problem. Start your car and watch the tachometer let it settle down and then turn the knob to the A/C setting. if the revs keep jumping up and down, and the compressor keeps clicking on and off then it is your CCRM. The CCRM is a black box under the air filter housing next to the drivers side fender. also check the plug that goes into the A/C compressor, passenger side toward the bottom of the engine more toward the front. hope this helps
