I'm helping a friend replace a heater core in his 1993 Escort 1.9 litre with a/c. His brother started helping him and its a mess! I've seen numerous places on the web that have basic instruction, nothing detailed. It looks as if we have to remove some of the a/c housing stuff on the inside, but of course non of the instructions say anything about that. I use to work in a garage...17 years ago, and some of the vehicles that I have replace heater cores on had mounting bolt/nuts in the engine compartment. If anyone has any helpful info on this job, sure would appreciate it.

I think you have to remove the dash on Escort. I had to on a 98 model.
