Capri

I have been searching the net for the Capri i want and this is the pic and web link attached for you to view. The reason i want you to view this is because the site tells me s**t all about which Capri model it is. Please look and if you do know or have an idea, it would be much apprciated.

Hi Mate. Welcome to the forums.

The picture is of a MK3 Capri. As far as I know, they came powered with a 1.6, a 2 litre and either a 3 litre V6 (early) or a 2.8 V6 (later). they werent sold in australia, but there are a few around. not 100% sure of the price, but look at around $10k.

the car in the picture looks to have a body kit as the arches look pumped out a bit.

you would do well to buy a magazine called 'Classic Ford'. it deals with mainly european fords and often has capris in it.

Thanks man, much appreciated ill look out for 'Classic Fords' mag, the pics i have found on Capris are all mostly front view shots and no rear shots its really anoying, thought i'd let you know

forgot to mention. try to watch some episodes of a show called 'The Professionals'. you can get some on DVd from the UK, but community TV was repeating them a couple of months ago. the later episodes has two different capris...and the guys just couldnt drive without using the handbrake or inducing excessive wheelspin. great stuff.

It looks like a mark 2 with mark 3 lights. The grill definately looks like a mark 2.

I am in the UK at the moment and there are a lot of capri's around for sale but not to many driving on the roads any more.

I think it's a MKII capri with fibreglass MKIII front guards and bonnet and MKIII headlights.
The MKIII didn't have crome trim like that one unless it was retro fitted. But more likely that it's a MKII I reckon. Looks great!
