Bringing a 91 Mercury Capri Back to Life

I'm trying to resurrect my sister's 91 Capri w/75K miles and in good looking shape. I'm a long time wrencher and former long-time Mazda owner. My first glance at her car is that I think it is a lot of Mazda 323 inside.
Anyway, she tried to jump it, crossed the cables and I suspect blew the ECU. Where is the ECU located, I will pull it to get numbers and the correct replacement before going further.
Once it runs, I will be seeing about having a new top installed. Good looking little car, boring automatic but I'd like to get it running again.
Thanks Much

The ECM should be in the right kick panel. They were on the 92s.

Thanks, I'll pull it and look around and get a same-numbered replacement.
