confused buying 1st car

hey every1, im 17 and need a car

ive been looking for a car for a long time now and im thinking bout getting an escort mrk2. (i was mixing up between escort, gemini, celica).

im thinking bout spending aroung 2,500. what does every1 think ill get 4 that. im looking for a 1.8 or 2ltr.

can every1 tell us their opinions on their cars (positives and negetives etc.) and what i should and shouldnt buy.

Its simple. You shouldnt Buy a gemini.
You should by a MkII Escort. You could get a reasonably tidy one for about 2,500... and their one hell of a great car!

I'll agree with threefiftyone8, you should be able to get a decent Mk II Escort for $2500 with the 'Pinto' 2L OHC engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. And as long as you're not looking for a perfect RS2000, then you might even get some change out of your $2500!

And he's right, they are one hell of a great car!

So, in conclusion, BUY THE ESCORT! :)
