Sorry im a huge newbie here. i was just wondering if it is possible to put a cosworth engine into a 95 ford escourt. I have done a couple of searches but i keep coming up short. I can find any info if it has been done or if someone has tried or anything. Thanks for any help in this subject

Re: Cosworth engine in a 95 escourt?

Hi CCrider, I think putting a RWD Cossie engine into the front wheel drive escort could pose a lot of problems espcially when you start putting well over 200bhp through the front wheels, think you'd be better off slotting your cossie motor into a sierra, cortina, maybe even an old Rear wheel drive escort, or if you really want the engine into an escort I think the best way is to get an escort cos.
Remember the escort cos was essentially a sierra saphire cosworth 4x4 made to look like an escort, from recollection the only panels the escort cos shares with a regular escort are the roof, tailgate and doors the rest being cossie specific.
Hope this helps
