how do i check ecu error codes on a eb 4.0l

Re: ecu error codes

1: Connect the negative lead of a test lamp to terminal 4 of the self diagnosis output connector.

2: Connect the positive lead to the positive battery terminal.

3: Connect a jumper lead to terminal 2 of the self diag output connector and the other end to the self diag input connector.

Depending on which test you're doing either have the engine running or just the ignition switched on.

Take a note of any codes displayed and then look them up in your workshop manual.
