I have 1992 Ford Escort wagon and am at my wit's end trying to open the fuel door, which will not unlatch even though the cable seems to be in good condition. I've tried to pry it open but it doesn't seem to be possible without damaging the surrounding sheetmetal. Anybody know of another way to access the latch?

Have you tried to Pry it open??? Or maybe try finding a section of cable to pull to release the Door.
