ford escor 1.6 x reg wont start all needles on dash go crazy - Ford Forums

hi just been to petrol station filled up and tried to start car and nothing i thought maybe the battrey had died so we got someone to jump start us which got us home, hoever we checked the battrey which is fully charged and put it back in. nothing... just sends the needles crazy when we turn the key sometimes the stick when turned off too.

any ideas?

i would say there is bad earth somewhere. that happend to me the other day on a rover and i had to replace the earth that goes from the battery negitive to the car.

Check your Alternator...if bad replace. Also Your Ignition switch may have gone bad...this can cause some crazy things to happen...

You can take the Alternator to Autzonek, or Advance Auto to be nested. Your local Ford Dealer can check the Ignition switch if you don't have an Amp meter.

Also did you get a Engine Chk Light??? if so have your codes read.
