Hi there I am not much of a car person but I am here asking this question on behalf of my father since he is not much of a computer guy. I have a:
Type: Ford Escort
Year: 1994
Transmission: Manual
Fuel: Petrol
Engine: 1.3
Issue: Car turns of sometimes while shifting down a gear.
So basically the problem occurs sometimes while driving and you shift DOWN a gear it turns off. Usually and most frequently is turns of while shifting down a gear. Sometimes while the car is just on but static and in neutral you can hear how the cars is loosing acceleration or what ever you call it, it sounds like it is about to turn off and gets very weak in sound and you have to hit the acceleration pedal to stop it from completely turning off. I apologize if I have not made it very clear or left something out that you might need to know but we have sent it to mechanics all over the country where we live and non have been able to pin point where the problem is and how to fix it.
Any help is much appreciated. :smile2:
