good day! what engine do you have? pinto 2.0? you can definitely turbochrge it. you can use the old weber carb but a lot of fabrication is needed. the manifold where the carb is going to sit going to the turbocharger.a cross over pipe fron the turbocharger to the original intake manifold lus the new exaust. i think this is the air to air type turbocharging. you can use intercooler only if you chnge to fuel injection. in our car we used 750cfm holley, to4 turbo and lots of money! but a lot fun!im not an expert but i hope i gave you an idea.

Re: ford esky turbo charging HELP

YB Cosworth Turbo is perfect and easily modded to get 320hp++++ atw as seen in 6 cossie powered cars in our car club.

Turbo Pinto is best achieved with standard sierra injection and an Autronic ECU. Do it once and do it right. Turbo size is up to you but GT28 is plenty. Definitely intercool for boost above 7psi, you will want more boost after a short while anyway. Use a 205 Block and if using high boost, go with a Cosworth steel crank above 240hp otherwise the pinto crank is not too bad at all........Remember, buy the good gear and you won't buy it again and again, it will always work, and reliability matters.
