I have received an offer to buy a Ford Sierra that had it's engine replaced with a Ford Transit engine.
Is it possible? Dose the Transit engine fit on a Sierra chasies?
And there is a problem. The carburator is not it's own and it consumes about 22literes/100Km in stead of about 8. Could the problem be elsewhere than the carburator?
1 more question. What is the cilinder capacity for the petrol Transit engine?
Yes the Pinto engine was fitted to both vehicles, in 1.6 or 2.0 guise, engine code 2.0= NA* 1.6= LA* stamped on the engine near the bellhousing on the oil filter side.
I'd get the correct carb fitted first then go from there.
