my escort has really started acting up today, i filled up at a local gas station that i always get gas at, and after a couple mile down the highway, it starts running wierd, it jerks like its losing power but it isnt, the temp is fine, i did change the oil, and my grandpa said it could be bad gas in my car, so i added 'heet' brand gas treatment and it is still running weird. ive only been driving this car for about 3 months, but it has been in the family since it was new. please help a kid out

how many miles? you may need a good system cleaning and a good check of the ignition sysem as well....and how long since your last tune up? that is a good place to start the search....unfortunately without actuall hearing the car and checking it myself that is the best advice I can offer
