Anyone,

Recently I repaired a crack on my radiator thinknig that was the problem my car was overheating. Since that didn't work, I replaced the thermostat with a brand new one because the old one was stuck shut. So I thought that would fix the problem. Now it is still overheating, but it only happens when I am sitting and idling like in traffic or at a light or when it first started, a Portillos Drive Thru. Can someone please help me and tell me what I should do, I just need this car to last me until I get a newer one.

you may want to make sure that your fan is operating as it should...if the fan switch or motor isout you will overheat at a standstill...as when you are moving ambient air is pushed across the radiator keeping you cool...and there is none of that when at a standstill
