Hello people iv got a problem, what it is iv just recently passed my driving test and i went out and bought an N reg Ford Escort its lovely but iv got 1 problem my speedo aint working when iv had a look my cable has snapped,
so what my problem is it a hard job to do myself if so can anyone explain it to me how to do it and also how much am i looking at paying out for a speedo cable many thanx

it shouldn't cost too much to get a new speedo cable

I picked up a complete cluster with a speedo cable from my local wreakers for $30, and installing a speedo cable isn't very hard.

Its just a matter of pluging up 1 end into the back of the cluster
then feeding the cable through the casing then pluging the squarish shaped end into the speed thingy of the gearbox (takes about 5min to do
