intermittent long crank, sometimes fires right up
just bought a 95 escort lx, w/ 1.9L, 111K. usually in the morning and occasionally during the day (its used to go on service calls at my business), it takes a long time to crank. around 5 sec before it'll fire up.
previous owner had all maint records and fuel pump was replaced very recently. I dont see anything regarding the fuel filter in his records, and after doing some googling I found some info about the IAC valve.
Any thoughts as to which one is most likely the issue? Or maybe I'm way off base and its neither? Btw, plugs, wires, dist cap, ign coil, and rotor were all changed within the last year too...
