hey, got a prob with da eski.

the oil gauge keeps jumpin all over the place, like when im driving its fine but then when i idle it drops way too low and then starts to climb up a little(but not enough) then every now and then she'll jump right up high(usually when i start her up).

ive checked oil and she dont need any, although she could do with a complete change, but it shouldnt affect it like that should it??

any help is much apreciated

I'm assuming it's an electrical gauge and not a mechanical one......

In that case check the electrical connections to the sensor in the block making sure it is tight and clean.

Are all your gauges (fuel, temp) moving as well as this may indicate a regulator problem inside the gauge cluster?

the oild gauge is an aftamarket item, so its not connected with my other gauges in the dash and it works alright when im dirving just when i drop off the accelerator
