I have to change the front whel bearings on my KE laser. I replaced the CV's a week or so ago and the bearing on the nearside is now noisy. I have the bearings however I have been warned that there is a problem with the preload.

The bearing on this model are the cone type (2 piece)

I have also been told that if I replace the bearings and use the existing spacer that all will be ok. Any advice please

i tried to replace the front right handside wheel bearingon my ke laser but ran into trouble with the preload on the bearing. i had to get my bro to fit the bearing for me using a press to get the right preload on it. with the spacers he also had to buy a different sized spacer from ford because using the old spacer when he put the load on the bearing it was too tight so he had to get the next size up spacer to give the cup and the cone the right tolerance so it could spin freely thankfully that fixed the problem.
