Re: Laser TX3 Turbos

Those white ones were the kb model, came with the e5t (1.5 turbo) and called the Lightning turbo, or something like that.

Re: Laser TX3 Turbos

Are you after a 4WD or a 2WD turbo?

You can convert non-turbo TX3 to a turbo version, but IMO it would not be cost effective. Better off buying a factory turbo version. Better resale value as well.

If you have a non turbo tx3 already, and dont mind front wheel drive, your best off doing the conversion in ur current car.
But if ur looking for a turbo tx3, buy a factory one .
I had a non turbo tx3, and did the conversion. It was a better option cause i knew the car and history etc.
I weighed up the options if i sold the non turbo and bought a T, I wouldve lost too much money.
So yeh ..that is a bit of advice from a previous owner, hope it helps.

Re: Laser TX3 Turbos

I have an original advertisement for the KB turbo around somewhere. I will try and find it.

Re: Laser TX3 Turbos

Well, from the sounds of it, most of you lads are east coasters. Over here in the west there are a few tx3 tubbed 4wd's around. Infact, my family have three of them. Looks pretty good when they are all in the driveway. So i wouldnt say that they are THAT rare. Good fun to drive though.
