My Mates MkII escort panel van is runnin ruff cheaked out the carby,fuel lines, timing, dizzy and spark plugs. His escort doesnt have a desol valve. do all escort mk 2 1.6 engines have the desol valve. coz most of the vacum hoses were taken off buy his mechanic. On my xd falcon it has somethin simlar and when i disconnect the pipe from the intake that goes to the air filter vacuam moter my xd idles ruff as. any clues.

Hiya. I have worked on heaps of these but not sure what you are meaning as desol valve. Do you mean anti dieseling valve.
