Gday Fellas
Ive got a 1979 rs2000 coupe and i was lookin to upgrade the rims, ive got the globes on now but they are getting a bit shabby i wanted to put bigger than 13 inch maybe 15 or 16inch but i dont know what the biggest Width, Hight, and offsets that can fit under those sexy guards so if anyone knows could they give me a hoy?
thanks
The biggest I've seen on an esky are 16 inch rims. The widest rims i've seen are 7.5inch, but they were the RS alloys from europe, and I'm not sure as to what mods were done to the front and rear guards. 7's all round would fit comfortably, and 16's with the right ride height would make it look real sweet.
What colour is the RS and what have you had done to it?

Yeah mate thanks for the info, ATM its the factory midnight blue, real shmic paintjob thou, full restoration of original interior, just 1 carb for the minute, electronic ignition, pacemakes pumpin thru a 2 1/2 inch sports exaust, it sounds real nice, 30000 shaved off the head to boost comp, ported and bigger valves... not a whole lot, im waiting on the crabs to do bottem end work, but it goes real good and ive never had a problem scince i got electronic ignition
Sounds great. Im planning on fitting 16x7's on my MkI Escort although i havent really looked into it yet but im sure it can be done. Im fairly sure ive seen 17's on a MkII. MIdnight blue is a great colour.

Performance Superlites are good except i dont like the look of the 15" but i will be fitting 16"x 7" superlites to my MkI and they are about $210 each without tyres made in Adelaide they are much cheaper than the Compomotive brand and the minilite brand which are made in the UK.
