thanx guys,

My escorts future is looking really grim as my stepdad's was talking to a mate and was convinced by him that it is to rusty and the motor was stuffed from a little bit of smoke.

He bought me a 6 clyinder cortina for a bottle of grog and i really want the escort.....

what do u guys recon i shold do as the escort is right on the line of "throw out or keep"..

To this day they are the best rally cars ever made. I have driven and been in the best of them.

10,700 RPM in fith gear on Watagan Rd in Gosford doing 130 MPH on dirt is an experince not to be forgotten ever.......

Looks like you got the best of both worlds.

A good straight car and a parts car.

If you think of getting rid of the old one make sure you advertise somewhere cause u never know it might still have those important bits someone else is missing.

Classic Fords are great cars, cheap to modify and you can learn a lot doing stuff yourself.

Have fun mate and if you need a hand just post your question plenty of people here to help.

What car are you refering to that revs to 10,700rpm
