The 2 door may look straight as, but on closer inspection the drivers side front 1/4 panel could almost pass for bass straight in high seas! I didn't take any photos where you can see it.

Also, it may be a 2 door, but only the drivers door opens. One of the passenger side door pins (the top one) had rusted in place, and my uncle managed to demolish the (please forgive my lack of knowledge here) bit on the door that the door pin goes through. So now the passenger door, if it's opened, will pretty much fall off. So I'm guessing to repair this I'll need a replacement door - it could be pretty difficult to find a replacement passenger door for a 2 door Mk 2 Escort, at least judging by the difficulty I had in finding a replacement drivers side door for the 4 door.

I would like to keep them both, and turn the 2 door into a project car, but both finances and circumstances don't allow this as a possibility. If I was living somewhere with a garage, then things would be different - I'd store it in the garage and work on it when finances allow, but at least for the foreseeable future, this is not going to be possible.

At least with the 4 door I'll be able to still drive an Escort (as much as I like my partners EB Falcon, it's too big for me and not as enjoyable to drive), and who knows, maybe I will end up keeping the 2 door, but for now, the 4 door is the more important, as it requires more work.

Oh yeah, my group certificate just arrived in the mail, so I'll be doing my taxes in the next few days (first time ever, wish me luck!), and then when I get my tax return (I paid $3313 in tax over the last financial year, so I should get back at least some of that, according to my uncle who works in the tax office), I'll be registering the 4 door and enjoying Pinto power! :s6:

Damn, I paid over $17,000 to the tax man, and he still wants another $1,750. Bloody HECS!!!

Anyway, you car looks good. Enjoy it.

I will be buying a Escort in the coming months for my brother. Should be fun!!!
