Hi,

Since a month I have a 1991 Ford Escort 1.6 and I thought the radio/cassette was broken, but now I think it might be locked.

The radio reads "- - -" without blinking. What does it mean? Permanently locked?

There is a 3 digit code written in the audio handbook, how can I enter it? There are only four pre-select radio buttons.

If you leave the set switched on for about 30 mins the dashes should start to flash, if not it will have to be unlocked by a specialist.
Once the dashes start to flash, you toggle preset 1 until the codes first digit comes up, then preset 2 etc then press enter or preset 4.
