Hey ppl, i just made a discovery today that made me very excited, i was at my local mag joint down in melbourne, Canterbury tyre and mag, anyway, i was askin the tech agout mags for my car, him and i where discussing how escorts are so hard to find rims for cause they have a really weird offset, having a huge backing plate on the back of the mag to postion it in relation to the suspention.
well, he showed me something ive never seen before, and im a mechanic, he showed me something that was much like a spacer plate, but much much diffrent, a machined bit of alloy, with studs of its own, and stud holes for ure exsisting hub.... it bolts straight on to ure hub!!! and allows u to put ANY mag at all on ure escort, WITHOUT the pain in the arse of having to get them made up, or the restriction of a few mags that fit our cars, Bloody brilliant

has anyone checked the legality of these?
i've seen and heard of em before, and they look fairly sturdy and promising, but no one can tell me if they're legal!

ill see what i can do about pictures, ill be getting some soon, and i know for a fact they are legal, i checked it out with Vic-roads, only setback is they have to be engineered to suit ure car, bit pricey at 500

huh...i think I might just use that $500 to buy better mags in the first place...but if your desperate then I guess it is a good option.
